Pokhran 1974

47 years ago, India surprised the whole world by making the first nuclear test. India led the charisma under the leadership of Indira Gandhi.

While India's test called Indira Gandhi as a peaceful nuclear test, on the other hand, the US had stopped supply of nuclear materials and fuel to India. Read on this historical day.
Delayed test due to jeep
On May 18, all the preparations for the nuclear test had been completed. To track the blast, the scaffold was installed 5 km away. All the big military officers and scientists were keeping an eye on this scaffold. For the last investigation, it is decided to send Virendra Sethi, a scientist to the test site. After the investigation, the Jeep was not getting started at the test site. The time of the blast was fixed at 8 a.m.

The time was running out and when Jeep was not started, Sethi walked for two kilometers away to the control room. Due to its entire developments, the time of testing was extended to 5 minutes.

7 years hard work
A whole team was working on this top secret project for a long time. The team of 75 scientists and engineers worked very hard from 1967 to 1974 for 7 years. This project was commanded by BARC Director Dr. Raja Ramanna. Ramanna's team was also the APJ Abdul Kalam who led the team of Pokhran nuclear test in 1998.

When the green flag was received from Indira
While visiting Bhabha Atomic Research Center in 1972, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi allowed scientists there to plant a plant for nuclear testing. But Gandhi's permission was verbal.

This entire operation was kept confidential until the day of the trial. Even the US could not find any information about it. The angry United States had imposed several types of ban on nuclear materials and fuels. In this hour of crisis, Soviet Russia cooperated with India.

76 not out - Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan is an Indian superstar who has appeared in numerous Hindi movies. He is often regarded as one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema. Amitabh Bachchan was born in Allahabad, to poet father Harivansh Rai Srivastava (Bachchan), a well-known Hindi poet and mother Teji Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan achieved stardom with films like Zanjeer (1973), Deewar (1975), Don and Trishul. He also earned the tag of Angry Young Man for his powerful performances. Bachchan saw a sluggish career progress through the 80's. However, he came back as a host to of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), the Indian adaptation of the British television game show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Amitabh was "voted the greatest star of stage or screen" in a BBC Your Millennium online poll. BBC noted, "Many people in the western world will not have heard of him....but is a reflection of the huge popularity of Indian films." In his second coming, he is enjoying a resurgence in popularity with films such as Pink, Paa, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Sarkaar etc.

Zanjeer changed things. That's when success came to him. It was a great film. Prakash Mehra directed the movie and Amitabh's role was probably the first portrayal of a middle class anti-hero in Hindi cinema. An honest police officer fights the corrupt violent system from within. But failing in the attempt he revolts and takes on the fight as an outsider using crooked means. This marked a new beginning. Hindi cinema now had its angry young man. And riding the waves of the popularity of this particular typecast began a remarkable journey of fame and success.

By the mid seventies, Amitabh Bachchan had established himself as a force to contend with in Bollywood but superstardom was yet to come.

The year 1975 saw the release of Amitabh's two biggest blockbusters till date.
First came Ramesh Sippy's Sholay and when Jai died on screen, the audiences' horrified gasp betrayed the birth sound of a new phenomenon - the birth of Amitabh the superstar.

Every film producer knew that if he cast Amitabh Bachchan in his film, he had a hit. From being a sidelight on the scene, Amitabh Bachchan had transformed to become the undisputed king of the celluloid world. His screen persona reflected the angst of the 1970. In him was embodied the pent up resentment of unemployment, of social deprivation and individual degradation but in him the audiences found a champion too, who lashed out at a system that kept them in penury. On screen, Amitabh fought his way against tremendous odds and off screen a mesmerised audience fought for a ticket to his movie.

With his brilliant acting skills and his ability to deliver blockbusters after blockbuster, Bachchan was set for long haul.

But then when he was at the height of his popularity, there came a hiccup in his career and his life. On the sets of Coolie, Amitabh was seriously injured while filming a fight sequence. He was rushed to the hospital and initial reports said that the injury was serious, even life-threatening. His fans were devastated. They feared for him and all across the country people prayed that the almighty would return their icon to them.

Amitabh made a stable recovery and after some initial questions about his continuance in Bollywood, the superstar returned to reign at the top.

Modi government after 4 years. Is helpful for 2019 election?

The government is likely to spend its last two years of the current term focusing on burnishing PM Modi’s pro-poor appeal while ensuring effective implementation of its initiatives to reap benefits in the 2019 general election.
The years are crucial for the BJP as it seeks to widen its areas of winnability to make up for possible erosion in the north and west, where its electoral performance hit an all-time peak in 2014. Additionally, it will have to demonstrate nimble-footedness in stitching alliances while keeping an eye on possible alliances in the opposition camp. On the governance front, there is need to ensure a seamless transition to the GST regime and better-targeted delivery of welfare entitlements under the Aadhaar-enabled platform.
Internal security appears to be a particularly challenging area at present, given the volatile situation in Jammu & Kashmir and the Maoists in strongholds of left-wing extremism. The Modi government would do well to ward off the temptation to present a populist budget in 2018, which will be the last full-fledged budget in its current term, ahead of the next general election.
The UPA government had resorted to the populist farm loan waiver scheme in 2008 and reaped dividends in the 2009 Lok Sabha election. Given that the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has announced a farm loan waiver, pressure is mounting on the party in Maharashtra to go in for a similar measure while farmers in Tamil Nadu too are clamouring for relief.
The Modi dispensation resisted the populist temptation in Budget 2017-18, following the demonetisation drive that caused some inconvenience to people late last year and early this year and this gives some hope on this count. On the international front, the surge in protectionism in the US and its consequences on H-1B visa holders and the Indian IT Industry, which is one of the biggest contributors to India’s service dominated economy, need to be tackled carefully.
Especially so, given the fact that Modi has created an expanding constituency for himself and the BJP among the Indian diaspora abroad that contributed to his positive perception back home in the country.
Tackling Pakistan sponsored terrorist strikes and ceasefire violations, which seem to have gained frequency over the past year, remains another challenging issue. With Pakistan enjoying the support of China, which has expressed its displeasure over the government’s firm stance over facilitating Dalai Lama’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh, the Modi government has a diplomatic challenge on its plate to contain any situation that could create domestic political embarrassment. At a time when Modi’s popularity is riding high, the challenge for him is to maintain the electoral approvals in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
More than anything else, the BJP will rely on Modi’s charisma in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha election, just as it did in the past three years. The mantra for the BJP, then, is to continue to cash in on Modi’s appeal, a task that the government as well as the party under Amit Shah are sure to focus on in the next years.

Indian Education System

History of India in Education

India has the great heritage of knowledge. From thousand of years, knowledge has been flowing throughout the centuries. Many scientists, mathematicians, astronomers have done huge research and have made many inventions. The Indian education system is one of the oldest education systems in the world

In Current Generation

Indian education system does have a big problem of bad quality teachers. In rural primary schools, we hardly see the talented staff, and this even happens in universities. University appoints lecturers, there is no loss in recruiting newer talent but there should talent. Primary schools, high Schools, universities, colleges recruit the teaching staff which is not so good compared to other country’s standards. These are the people who are going to shape the upcoming generation and if the quality is not maintained at this level then that is a big harm to the next generation in making. This is one of the raging problems in Indian education system. We cannot blame the system completely for its failure.
Major factors causing this are as follows, teaching is not considered as an appreciated job, teachers don’t get corporate equivalent salaries. That is why teaching is not so glamorous job in India. Existing teaching staff needs to improve their skills. The education system needs to bring the processes which will improve the existing teacher’s quality periodically. There should be exams, screenings for existing teachers. Teachers should get promoted on basis of skills and talent not just based on the number years of experience. Seniority or age is the main factor or in the promotion of the teachers, we need to change this attitude. When teachers know that there going to be promoted only because of their seniority then they tend to not to adapt with latest teaching methods, required skills and knowledge of the world around them.Technology, the world around changes so fast and jobs too. Jobs which were big opportunities ten years back are absolute now. The education system should be in sync with the world and innovation. As these new technologies like AI, AR, Machine Learning, Chain Block, Bio-Technology, Brain Mapping, Quantum Physics, Nano Technology etc grew they need human resources to work on it. School, college still need to teach basics but along with that, they should at least give the glimpse of whats new happening in the world.
The education system in India or anywhere in the world for that matter teaches how to be the employee; they never teach how to create jobs how to be an entrepreneur. In the 21st century, it is the need of time that we need to promote the entrepreneurship from the school level. And we need to take it to the next level when the students come to the higher education or a degree/ undergraduate level. Now at the university level, it is been mandatory to have a start-up cell, e-cells but existing college facilities will not able to handle this because and entrepreneurship is completed different thing that teachers will never understand. The education system in India needs to tie-up with the actual businesses, startups, industry leaders to promote entrepreneurship in India.
The invention in technology and the advancement of Internet bringing the best possible solutions for the education system in India. Animations, videos, infographics provide in-depth analysis of the topic we need to adapt these new technologies in the education system of the India. A lot of Edu-Tech start-ups creating lots of good services like Byju’s App, Topper, MeritNation and various other services help students to prepare for the tests, solve maths problems, learn science and algorithms. The education system needs to take advantage of such innovations and help the students to learn the concepts not just mugging it up.
Indian about grades, mark sheet
In India, A student is measured with his or her academic grades or percentages. Lab experiments, practicals are there as part of the curriculum but they don’t have that much value in the education. Talent cannot be measured by marks so we need to have the different measurement system which can measure the talent, skills and hidden potential of the student. Every kid is special, they all have gifted but with a different gift, the education system should provoke thought process so that students know their inclination early in the process. But it might take a decade or two to change this mark and number based system in India.
This system creates a divide in students, higher the marks you get better student you are; if you lower marks in academic nothing expected out of you. One of the major problems of the Indian education system is that it fails to understand that academics just one part of the student life, sports, life sciences, technology are the areas students should excel at. But in India, we just focus on the academic part, textbooks knowledge only. When these students go out in the real world with this textbook knowledge they face a lot of problems

India about engineering

This is a specific problem with Indian engineer community, they pass out from all type of stream like Petrochemical, Mechanical, electrical, pharmacy and end up in Information technology services or computer engineering related jobs. This makes other industries suffer. Students should continue in their own streams so that all industries flourish in tandem.
Indian student in real life
When students go out there in the real life trying to get the job they mainly face the communication problems. To perform well at the job you need to have lots of soft skills like communication, presentation, business email writing, teamwork, etc. None of it is taught at Indian schools or colleges. If the ultimate product of the education system in India is to create employees then we better make good ones.
Conclusion
There is no magic formula for education system anywhere in the world there always good and bad things in the system. We just cannot copy paste the Western education culture and use it in India. Definitely, we can learn from the western education systems and take the best part of it, plus we can add our ancient education methods and modernize the way of delivering it. Indian education system needs to implement digital methodologies to improve quality of education. We are in dire need of better teachers in the system and to achieve that teacher needs to have good compensation. There is need of creating awareness about the teaching jobs, we need to bring in the best brains in the teaching industry.
